For the past sixteen years I have been Senior Lecturer on the MA and PhD programmes and on the Professional Training programme at Regent's College School of Psychotherapy & Counselling. On my retirement from academic work last year, I was appointed Honorary Visting Fellow.

Main areas of professional work:

  • people going through times of transition;
  • addictive behaviour and its meaning within intimate relationships;
  • extensive experience of working therapeutically with senior executives in the corporate world;
  • clinical supervision of practising psychotherapists.

Experience and Qualifications

My early professional experience was as a professionally-qualified social worker and counsellor. During this time I trained in family therapy, psychodynamic counselling and group work. Subsequently I researched and was awarded a Ph.D. (1991, London University).
Qualifications: Ph.D., B.Sc, CQSW.
Professional Memberships: Member BACP; UKCP registered

Areas of special interest

Therapeutic work with people who:

  • have difficulties in relationships,
  • lack self esteem,
  • feel cut off from their emotions,
  • are trying to find meaning in their lives.
